Antonio Esfandiari wins the WPT Diamond title
Antonio Esfandiari won the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic. The poker pro called „The Magician“ managed to eliminate everyone including Vanessa Rousso who held the chip lead for a considerable length of time. Esfandiari’s nickname seems more than apt looking at his past. At the age of 19, he indeed became a professional magician and as such was also invited to take part in a Texas Hold’em game where he put his hands on professional poker for the first time. Esfandiari won his first big prize at the 2004 WPT and just a few months later gained the golden bracelet at the WSOP.
